Meet Guiliana.. A true 1 year old princess!

One of the greatest perks of being a parent is that you get invited to so many fun filled functions. BBQ's, birthdays, & play dates start to fill the calendar. These events are just as much fun for adults as it is for the kids. (I'm not sure who has a better time, Josiah or I when we attend)
This weekend my little family was invited to a gorgeous little princess's 1st birthday party at "El Torito" (brunch buffet style feast is amazing). There was face painting, Balloon animals, super heroes and several adorable princess's. When I hear the word "Princess" I automatically think of the Disney princess's such as Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty... Etc. But one look at this birthday girl and there's no surprise of why she's given the title of Princess.

After Breaking the PiƱata.. Someone had a sweet tooth!

Happy Birthday Giuliana!!! Thanks for the invite.... and may god keep blessing you and your lovely family with many more birthdays to come.   :)

Introducing baby Kayden to the world!

As I walk into the front door of the Baldwin residence I could immediately feel the warmth of the heater (which I suggested we turn up as high as possible since babies love that heat!) and am immediately greeted by 2 lovely sisters. We have a game plan all set and ready to go into action but (yes... there's a but) I misplaced an attachment which allows me to use my large studio soft box AKA Huge white box with a flash inside. Time to do some really quick thinking and play it off as much as possible to not give myself away.... AAAAHA! (As I could feel a little light bulb hover over my head) There's some gorgeous light coming from the screen door by the kitchen. I set up shop and I'm ready to rock and roll. With the help of Brandie (#1 Auntie in the world) we take some hard wood floor I had left over from my living room remodel and place it over the kitchen floor. I have to give it up to baby Kayden for being such a trooper!!! He was placed in two different baskets, had 3 wardrobe changes, and was in his birthday suit for most of the shoot and we rarely got a peep out of him. Momma is one lucky lady to have such a precious little angel by her side. Here are a couple of pics of Kaydens first few days in this world. and if you have a little time check out the slide show... Enjoy

What a Great and Productive weekend!

I only have about a half hour to complete this blog before the next business day so here it goes. I took the most adorable pictures of 1 week old baby Kayden and it was such a blast. I got to carry him in my arms and all of a sudden I got flash backs of when I first got to hold my 8 pound baby right out of the incubator where he was resting after a good 9 months of being cramped in mamas belly. I also was hired by a courier company to take some pictures of their delivery trucks.... Now there's never a gig I turn down and I'm always up for some new challenges. So this morning I pack up my equipment back and head out to their warehouse. I had done some research on how to photograph vehicles but never did I find how to photograph big rigs, bob tails, and vans! First thing that came through my head was "Let the games begin"! Moving thousand ton trucks to make them look there very best was kind of similar to moving people around to make them look there very best. I felt like a symphony conductor guiding my musicians to the path of creating a beautiful melody (Which in this case was just informing the drivers on how I wanted the trucks placed). After a good hour and a half of climbing ladders and van roof tops I got some really good shots that will be used on there web site.
Wife, Baby Josiah, and I also had a nice little dinner at Twin Dragon (Love their Chinese food)  and after that we took Josiah to the park (7th and Wilshire). It was sooo much fun. He's developing such an adorable personality and I can't believe how fast time is flying. While he explores what this little park had to offer with mama I thought it would be a good Idea to catch up on some reading. After sitting on the park bench and reading a couple of paragraphs I look up at Martha and Josiah and just can't let them have all the fun in the world by themselves! I joined them in the sand box and together we shared an evening to remember!
